hmm, the purpose of prison is to rehabilitate, but people don't want to help the criminals, but they also complain that people come out of prison the same or worse than when they went in.

yes, thats the purpose of US prisons, they are suppost to rehab criminals, but they haven't for a while, and do become violent warehouses of criminals until they are released because nobody wants to put taxes into effective rehab.. and like I said, they still complain that they are criminals when released, just more pissed off.

No, not innocent, but I didn't see the point of locking them up. Remember, the US locks up not only a higher percentage of it's population than Red China, but a large number in absolute terms. That doesn't seem quite right.
