Malphrus Sewer Worms Allergic To Heat
News 14 | Submitted by: Cameron Malphrus
"The camera stops to focus on several pulsing sacs clinging to the crevices in the pipe... Staff biologists have confirmed that the "creature" is actually a colony of tubifex worms. The colonies attach themselves to roots that gradually work themselves into weak points in the pipes. "They seem to respond to the light from the camera," Buchan said. "That light is pretty hot." Those don't look so bad. It's sea worms that freak me out... Thank gosh they're... in the sea.

This is a government cover up. The worms are just another alien test run for the main invasion, just like the global ant colony thing from the other day. The end is near: 2012.

"The worms naturally occur in sewage and pond sediment and are actually sold both live and dried as fish food in pet stores." Now that is really rotten!

I'm with Bob. Those things are going to grow and mutate for a few years, then quietly slide out of manhole covers worldwide some cool, misty morning in late 2012.

That's quite horrid Loma......but biological adaptation is the engine which drives evolutionary processes.

I guessed slime mold too. Looks like I got burnt. On closer look you can see the individual worms moving.

Who knew sewers had staff biologists? What are they looking for down there anyway? And does that lend any credence to the "gators in the sewers" thing?

BFD With swarms of C-list cebs kicking the bucket, Palin quitting, more and stranger drugs found in MJ's house and the N. Koreans adding to the 4th of July fireworks I'd like to know how worms in a sewer pipe made it into the news - much less into rotten.
