Hacker Max Ray Vision Pleads Guilty

"Vision changed his name from Max Ray Butler shortly before the Secret Service arrested him in September 2007 at his Bay Area safehouse. Inside, agents found computer equipment storing approximately five terabytes of encrypted data and 1.8 million stolen credit card accounts... Federal prosecutors in Northern California charged Vision in 2000 with computer crimes for hacking into Pentagon computer systems. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison. Court proceedings revealed that Vision worked as an FBI informant for years before his arrest."

Jail time for a hacker of this caliber is nothing but another bullet point on his resume. He'll get out, be snatched up by some major firm or government agency, and be making more money than any of us will see in a lifetime.

Sure as hell not gonna make him feel any better, especially if he picks up a virus while in the clink either.  They don't provide "firewalls" in there...

In the 1990s, Vision owned a consulting company that helped companies identify weaknesses in computer systems through "network intrusion detection ==== I wonder how many hackers learned by working for companies like this. you let these fuckers run amok and pay them to do it. it would actually be a lot of fun and you get paid a lot of money but this fuckhead got too big for his britches. He'll be going away for a long time. good riddance

They'll send him to min security. How much assrapage happens there u think? They get effin tennis courts, let alone conjugals. Unless crooked Lambro dealers and embezzlers get a sudden hankering for man-ass in the stir, i don't think anyone is going to be doing any insider trading inside Mr. Vision's well sat-upon balloon knot.
