"A federal trial opened here Monday over whether a Kansas law prohibiting virtually all sexual activity by people under age 16 means health care professionals and educators must report such behavior to state authorities, which some say would stop many teenagers from seeking contraception or treatment for sexually transmitted diseases."

"Illegal sexual activity by minors can lead to S.T.D.'s, unwanted pregnancies, abortion, depression, mental illness," Mr. Alexander said. what the fuck? mental illness? it can lead to unwanted pregnancies, abortion, depression, et. al. for all age groups, not just for minors. sexuality is a personal choice, and as long as it remains personal (ie. as long as we aren't fucking in the streets) and consensual, then no part of the government should have any say in it. i wonder if he'll adjust the laws to exclude the underage prostitutes he regularly hires.

Hmmmm, I wonder if they're going to make that law retroactive to the past several decades? Perhaps then they could ask the guy trying to get that law passed how old he was when he lost his virginity. Judging by his picture it would probably be safe to say he's still working on it and would be free from prosecution.

I couldn't really tell it was porn because the screens kept changing so fast. From what I could see, I'd have to say that someone with a crotch full of shit is not necessarily gay. However, since I wasn't there when the picture was taken.....but I digress. Thanks for making me feel the need to run my anti-spyware and av programs, I'm sure I don't do it nearly often enough. "According to Irving Kristol, former managing editor of Commentary and now a Senior Fellow at the conservative American Enterprise Institute in Washington and the Publisher of the hawkish magazine The National Interest, a neoconservative is a "liberal mugged by reality," meaning someone who has become more conservative after seeing the practical impact of liberal foreign and domestic policies. " "Michael Lind, a self-described former neoconservative, wrote that neoconservatism "originated in the 1970s as a movement of anti-Soviet liberals and social democrats in the tradition of Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, Humphrey and Henry ("Scoop") Jackson, many of whom preferred to call themselves 'paleoliberals.' When the Cold War ended, "many 'paleoliberals' drifted back to the Democratic center... Today's neocons are a shrunken remnant of the original broad neocon coalition. Nevertheless, the origins of their ideology on the left are still apparent. The fact that most of the younger neocons were never on the left is irrelevant; they are the intellectual (and, in the case of William Kristol and John Podhoretz, the literal) heirs of older ex-leftists."[1]"

people started using the word again in 2003 for the 2004 election, its part of that fun word association game. neo makes you think neo nazzy, con makes you think convict, con-artist, con-man, so when the word is associated with a group or an individual it makes your brain nerons start fireing down already established nerro paths that give you negative feelings, it quite genius. Once your brain starts automaticly connecting an idividualss name to associate with the word neo-con, everytime you here that individuals name you will feel the same negitive emotions or feelings that you feel when you here the words neo-nazzy, convict or conman. car sales 101. ever notice that used car lots don't sell used cars anymore, now days dealerships sell pre-owned automobles, get it. "used car" sends your thoughts down an established nerro path that has connections to negative feelings, pre-owned creates a new path that has not been contaminated with negative feelings yet, in 10 years they will need a new word for used cars. I know most people know this stuff, but this sight seems to atract a lot of young people

Kerry180, Defining neo-cons as "liberal jews" who have jumped party ship is a new one for me. When me and my fellow liberals speak of Neo-cons we are talking about the ultra-conservatives who hijacked the republican party after Nixon fell. They were powerful republicans who didn't really espouse conservatism. So we refer to their brand of conservatism as neo-conservatism. It has nothing to do with being jewish. Such an odd thing to bring up when most of the anti-semites reside in the republican party. More odd, is how the upper parts of the republican party are up Israels butt with support. They seem a useless and worthless allie. Nice conflict. Bush and Cheney are neo-cons. They are also cowardly chicken hawks and quite antiamerican. They certainly are not conservatives, that's for sure. I can't think of one way they are conservative. They are ULTRA social conservatives but just about everything else conservative republicans stand for they do the opposite. But take your pick: the democrats are destroying the country passively by being ineffectual and pathetic while the republicans are actively destroying our country and killing our citizens.

Teens as young as 12. please read this. As a sorry, pathetic, shmuck who couldn't get laid untill he was 20, let me assure you of a scientific fact: Teenage bodies and minds are more attune and specialized for sexual intercourse than the bodies of people who are just on the verge of turning 20. It's a scientific fact: for both boys A-N-D girls. That idea that women reach their sexual peak in their mid thirties: P-U-R-E, UNFILTERED, POLITICALLY/CULTURLLY PRODUCED M-Y-T-H. Look it up if you think i don't know what the fuck i'm talking about here. This is a frightening fact for Politicians (obviously), teachers, parents, society at large etc. to have to deal with (as this article proves.) You'll read and hear time and time again from people who are FULL OF SHIT when they say things like: "Well, as a 49-year-old male, I feel that my sex life has never been more fulfilling; or, more often you'll here women giddy with the bullshit revelation: "Now that I'm 38, I cum harder than ever!" Get your condoms on, your birth control meds pumping through your veins, and get your fuck on, kids. Sex NOT ONLY loses its thrill and insity as you age, but you have to work harder to get it (especially for males) then you ever could've imagined. Economics, children (if you were dumb enough to have any), transportation, ailments, culture, etc., etc., ad infinitum all become factors that are fully capable of snuffing out any or even all enjoyment from sex. Life don't get easier once you're past you're past you're teenage years.

Here is a little side note to all of this. About a year ago a guy in the neighboring state of NE snuck down to Kansas to marry his then 14y/o girlfriend (he was like 24 or older at the time) anyway he married her in Kansas because they don't have a minimum legal age for marriage as long as a guardian will say it is ok. So this little skanks mom says it's ok to marry this guy and the get it done in kansas and as soon as they came back to Nebraska the husband got popped for child molestation of his legal wife. Not here to argue the merits of this case so much as I am trying to understand how the state can have both of these laws on the books w/out any conflict. Oh yeah I forgot. It's kansas.

Life don't get easier once you're past you're past you're teenage years. I'd debate this. Life doesn't necessarily get easier, but it does change. One of the most important changes is that you get to be a legally and financially independent individual- you have the full power of freedom of choice for the first time. At 19, I chose to leave my podunk hometown and start sucking as much dick as my heart desired (well, not quite that much, because I've got to eat actual food sometime). Getting sex got much easier as a direct result of the choices I made. In the pubertal process of learing to be a fully-fledged human being, you can choose to cultivate personal hygiene, a sense of humour and conversational skills that will help you to get laid. On the other hand, you can choose to eat McDonald's food, live with your mother forever, and play World of Warcraft all the time. Your choices can make your life easier or harder. Sure, I'm not as hot as I was at 16, but life is infinitely easier than it was. Also, I never get shoved into my own locker any more.

Anal and vaginal intercourse and oral sex are mentioned in the law, as is "lewd fondling or touching" done with "the intent to arouse," which Ms. Jones said could cover even intense French kissing." Wow. The definition of "intent to arouse" sounds so broad that maybe even holding hands while giving each other sexy looks can be interpreted as a violation of the law. Where does one draw the line? More importantly, how exactly does Kline think that this and requiring agencies to report "illegal" sexual activity will deter sexual encounters among minors in general?

I think they just happen to report more on news we'd like to hear about. I talk to people in over 20 states from coast to coast every day at work. There's stupid people everywhere (on more than one occasion I've been on the phone with someone that plugged a power strip into itself and didn't understand why it didn't work). This is where I was about to start a long rant about how everything is fucked up and we only get to choose between the officials that run and how our priorities are focused on business that isn't ours to begin with but I'm tired and at work where there's too many distractions. It's not like any of you cared anyways. I guess if I wanted your attention I could just stick a link in here and insist that you don't click it, but that's not how we do things here in Sasnak. I joined the young democrats in 1987 and we were refering to members of the Republican party, not elected or even appointed officials, just party members as neo-cons back then. They were decidedly not jewish. But if you don't like that label, which you seem not to, we can call them anything you like. I prefer Anti-american scumbags, myself. To suggest that Bush + co. are not neo-cons is fairly silly. The people in charge of the republican party put who they wanted in the white house, (just like the democratic party did except for presidential candidate not actual prez), the put neo-cons or people who are willing to fulfill the ends of neo-cons unquestionably, in power. To me, that makes them neo-cons. If they aren't how could we classify them? Let's see... Bush and co. aren't democrats or liberals. They aren't traditional Republicans or conservatives. If you don't like Neo-con we can call them Neo-repubs since they are redefining what it means to be a republican or maybe Ulra-cons, I like that, it sums up the flavor of these hypocrits. With a lovely hint of the jail time to come... Case in point - Bush said last night, to paraphrase, "lets use a civil tone to debate matters of difference" Example of hypocrisy - Vice President Chenney to Tim Leahy last year or so, not paraphrased, "Fuck off." Or maybe as Bush was espousing Freedom they were taking Cindy Sheehan out in handcuffs for wearing a teeshirt with only four numbers on it. Thoughtcrime was they only crime she was guilty of. Amazingly, another woman was wearing a teeshirt with "offensive" material on it but she was asked only to leave seeing as she was a republican house member's wife. One asked quietly to leave the other escorted in handcuffs. Both for the same offense. Equal justice under law? But wait, here is the best part - the offending shirt for the repubs wife had words on it - it said "Support Our Troops". These cowards in power know that their arguments can't even stand up to a couple of tee shirts. We would be better off with just about anyone in office, even Chenney, than GWB.

I wonder what this guy would say about the 11 year old boy who went to my son's school. This 11 year old boy got a 14 year girl pregnant. He is one of the worlds youngest fathers (must be something in the water around here!) The kid said he didn't use protection because he didn't think he was old enough! The school gave him paternity leave and he was there for the birth of his baby. Both families are being supportive.

That brings me to another point. This guy won't say if he will prosecute if both parties are minors. That would be a terrible reason to give someone a criminal record - just because they are young and in love. If he does, it will just make loads of people criminals and that will prevent them getting jobs - stupid idea.

Give Phill Kline a break: A) For hundreds of years, the church managed to control people by controlling their sexual lives, so why wouldn't he give it a try? He already has the looks of a priest, and that's a start! B) He obviously has no idea what sex is, so it's not easy for him to create a law ruling over it. Would it be easy for you to repair a Tupolev with only a russian manual? I didn't think so! Conclusion: Phil Kline for President! (of the United Apes of Zimbabwe only though)

dimitrov. I'm not going to go into detail about all the airplanes we build here in Kansas, not even our engineering program (one of the best in the country) at our college here in Wichita (that I attend). I don't even need to mention that the inventor of the microchip was born in Kansas (Leavenworth, to be specific). Nor do I need to bring up math and science scores from standardized tests in which Kansas (inexplicably, according to you) scores higher than the majority of the nation. I don't need to bring up that there are also members of the Kansas school board that are opposed to ID (and happen to like FSM). Ok, so I did bring that stuff up. I'm proud of my state. Talk to any sizable number of Kansans and you will find them to be intelligent and free thinking. I've been to other states and countries and the only place I'd want to live besides here would be New Zealand. I invite all of you to come here, take a look at our various Kansas science (WSU Engineering dept, KU Medical Center, Kansas Cosmosphere, Exploration Place, Sedgwick County Zoo, etc...) and most importantly, have some cheap drinks.

Outlaw Boones Farm Tickle Pink! "Last year, Mr. Kline successfully lobbied the Legislature to require that abortion providers collect fetal tissue from patients younger than 14 and turn it over to law enforcement." This guy might be cooler than you think! =============================================== Anal and vaginal intercourse and oral sex are mentioned in the law, as is "lewd fondling or touching" done with "the intent to arouse," which Ms. Jones said could cover even intense French kissing. HAWT!

I think I'll enjoy computer engineering a bit more. You guys might hear about me on the other side of Rotten after I finish my remote controlled robotic urban assault tank. Two-hundred pounds of steel moving at 20mph with a fully functional rotating paintball turret and two auxiliary airsoft guns.

I joined the College Republicans in 1982 and we've always known the difference between a neo, paleo and any other kind of conservative. We sure as shit don't need a bunch Commiecrats telling us who's who in our own fucking party. And I'm glad you like the label "Anti-American scumbag." Time you finally admitted it.

Wow Us nerds must've had it bad then (I've never been shoved into a locker because it's too small). I quit WoW what to do next? (sadly don't have gf but gotten close)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neocon ...much better discussion of what "Neocon" means. The overwhelming point in this is that current crop of Republicans stand for very little of what Republicans have stood for in the past. Republicans used to stand for (at least in words): 1. limited government...now they've become the party of big government. 2. financial responsibility...GWB is running the finances of the country like all the businesses he ruined and had to be bailed out of 3. states rights...until they became inconvenient ...on the bright side (?) they're still gung ho for social conservatism. Basically, it was all mostly lip service to get in a position of power so they could do everything they didn't have the power to do before.
