Congressional Trolls At It Again
c|Net | Submitted by: Graehme de Parke, Esq.
"Legislators are newly arming themselves with laws that will protect kids from being repeatedly harassed via the Internet, text messages, or other electronic devices. In recent weeks, Rep. Linda Sánchez (D-CA) and Rep. Kenny Hulshof (R-MO) proposed a federal law that would criminalize acts of so-called cyberbullying. And Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt (R-MO) was scheduled Friday to sign into state law a similar measure, but the event was postponed because of inclement weather in St. Louis."

First in life, first in Rotten

On a serious note, if this gets passed, Rotten is in big trouble.

Oh, and everyone who's going to attack me for saying "first" should keep that in mind........

Gutless ninnies. C'mon, pass your anti-free speech law and protect yourselves and your thin-skinned paymasters from those with the grit to be blunt and hostile. Strip the Intertubes of anything but the most pusillanimous of commentary and criticism.

Do it fow da childwen!

Fuckers. Go kill yourselves.

Has it been established that Sandy is over 18?

Not that it matters to Ponti, who has a well-earned rep for harassing minors.

How to not be "CYBERBULLIED"

Turn off the computer and go outside.

Why are we trying to pass more laws that, in effect, cause the government to babysit children? It is not the government's place to tend your damn kids.

Don't want them cyberbullied? Then turn off the computer and hand them a book. Send them outside to experience ACTUAL reality instead of virtual reality. Hell, give them some fucking chores......everyone has dishes to wash, garbage to take out and carpets to vacuum. Give these kids self-esteem built from accomplishment instead of letting their peers decide who and what they are.

Wasn't one of those pervy senators CAUGHT sending risqué messages to an underaged page or something?

"Researchers say that anywhere from 40 percent to 85 percent of kids have been exposed to some kind of digital bullying, whether it's a stolen password or being called "fat" via instant message.
[...]
And while calling someone "fat" is not a crime, parents and legislators are trying to prevent the behavior before it leads to tragedies like Meier's."

That is just pure utter unadulterated unbridled bullsh*t.
People and lawmakers must overcome their children fetish. They are too obsessed with protecting kids from things.

You guys didn't see this coming? What's to be surprised about? After that huge national uproar over Megan Meier killing herself because of nasty Myspace nastiness, of course they would do something like this. One dumb teenager's suicide is all it takes to push shit like this into the lawbooks.

The more myspace suicides, the better. Evolution is a harsh mistress.

Yep protect the kids from everything and anything until they are all grown up and on their own, and by then have absolutely NO idea how to deal with life.

Step away from the keyboard, it's that simple to prevent cyber bullying.

They think kids chat rooms are bad, they should come here.

Lets think carefully about who we elect people, these guys are fucktards.

Guess I'll have to turn off my computer. Not that i give a rats ass what you suckholes say or think, but if bullies find no place to act out, then maybe they can go deal with the fact that mommie & daddy didn't love them. Imagine the world in peace or in pieces, your choice. And if it REALLY makes you feel better, Boo hoo, you hurt my fucking feeling(s)....

I don't want my daughter to go through this, either. That's why she has no internet access. Come on people, the internet is no place for kids. If they're getting bullied, or stalked online, it's your own damned fault.

A law to make illegal harassment illegal? What the hell? Does every law need a completely separate one saying the exact same thing with the words "to children" at the end?

Fuck you Julian, Goyle, Bella, Patsy, Aulduron and all the rest of you.
You're making too much sense by using common sense. Fuck you, I hope
you all die!

Seriously, one girl commits suicide and now they have to pass more
'think of the children' BS laws. I'm not surprised because parental
responsibility is for the birds. And 'duh', kids have always bullied
each other, it's a fact of life.
