"The home was definitely in very bad condition, urine and feces all over the home, in the kitchen and bedroom, with a very strong odor," she said. "Obviously, 800 dogs in a triple-wide mobile home, they were packed in there. That being said, they were in pretty good shape."

Actually Cranky most of the time hoarders regardless of age are not prosecuted. It is seen as a mental illness. And as you can see by this article, not prosecuting hoarders has really helped put an end to it.

To be honest, its a shame they aren't charged and locked in a mental place. i knew this one woman, craziest person i've ever met that lived near us, and she had about 300 hundred dogs. made national television and everything. last i heard, she's started a new collection including Emus (going for the big breeds now!) upstate.

My college roomate's mother had 15 - 20 cats in her house. We went into the house and of course I set my bags down (not knowing what I was in for). She immediatley took a sheet to cover my bags. Otherwise, she said, the male cats would immediately "mark it". It was the longest weekend ever. My clothes were covered with cat hair. The cats slept anywhere they wanted to. On the kitchen table, kitchen counter, even in large cooking pots. There was always the stink of wet cat food everywhere. Nevertheless I did not eat a thing all weekend. Lucky for the cats they were taken care of. If they weren't I would have called Animal Control. The house was huge old victorian with plenty of outdoor space. Crazy ol'lady she was.

As to prosecuting hoarders, one question: is anyone willing to pay the $35,000 a year (latest California figure) plus the legal costs of prosecution to put Crazy Mathilda in the can? Not prosecuting might not have taken care of the matter, but it is highly questionable whether prosecuting would have been better. Guys, we need money for *schools*, not more legal crap.

" Some people have no life and nothing better to do with the waste of sperm that they are other than to sit there and hope what they do annoys people. It is a sad and pathetic life. Eventually, may take years, they get tired of it even that pathetic attempt to scream out for attention and be acknowledged is not enough and they do the world a favor and attempt to commit suicide. These are the kind of people that cannot even do that correctly and end up deformed, malformed, and/or dependent on someone to change the nasty diaper they have been regulated to. They have to be spoon fed and are often times abused by sick and twisted nursing care facility staff members who are under paid and have a serious grudge against society for their life situation and take it out on the invalids because the fuck stain spammer couldn't afford real health insurance and was put into a home by the state. I think... it is a just and deserving fitting end to such a lame assed life and the only thing that would make it better would be to simply put the poor critter out of it's own misery with a healthy dosage of slow acting always fatal poison. Alas, the world is not "that" just and one can only wait for the attempted suicide that the rainbow posting spammer will eventually try. We can always hope that it will be sooner rather than later but it is of no import, eventually they do take care of themselves for us. Of course... it is too much to ask that the forum moderators/owners do not implement something as simple as an "ignore" but, what can ya do? It is a "free board' and that means... free to leave.

For those of you who asked about preparation: I prepare puppies, kittens and other critters the same as small game animals. 1. After a humane killing(ball pien hammer to the brow)) gut the critter. 2. Par-boil until the skin is easy to peel. 3. Completely skin and remove head. 4. Cut into meal sized chunks and put in a bag with 'shake n' bake' 5. Bake until outer layer is crisp and internal temp exceeds 170F. 6. ENJOY!
