"Someone's idea of a "senior prank" at Ponderosa High School turned out to be animal cruelty when a student Wednesday morning dropped 45 chicks from a second- floor balcony onto the school's main office area."

After realizing what had been dropped, Lynch said, students and staff were horrified and some made a protective circle around the surviving chicks. I thought that was the most worthwhile part of the article. No Chicken Soup for you!

what! who on earth gave this kid the little baby birds? student-"i would like 45 chicks please." farmer brown-"no problem...i don't even want to know what the hell you want them for. enjoy." to be honest...i'm surprised that many of the birds survived. lets drop this guy from a high ledge and see how well he ends up.

How can someone so stupid actually get to his senior year in high school? How old was he at this point, 43? Oh, wait, nevermind...you don't have to even be literate to graduate from most public high schools. (I read about literacy rates and graduation somewhere years ago. I suppose I could find stats if I wanted to, but...I don't want to.)

Umm, so I'm thinking to myself, what was so hilarious about this particular prank? I mean, my brother's freshman year in high school the seniors put a DEAD CHICKEN from the anatomy room in the rafters of the freshman hall. The smell is STILL there. That's funny. But I fail to see how this is amusing. I would be mortified to see cute fuzzies smattered all over the ground. Sad.:(

I raise or raised, baby chicks at home. They make great garbage disposals, by eating almost anything. Since they're light boned, 2oz little buggers, the fall wont hurt them. What will hurt them is a size 13 sneak squishing them. Thats where the frail bones and nugget size works against them. A damn shame too. Chicks are so sweet when they're babies.

Yeah, this isnt funny at all. Mild violence against grown chickens is fine, because they are neither cute nor charismatic, but chicks.. damn, its the only period during these birds' life cycle when they can actually be considered for sympathy.

Lol this is great, the prank made the news and that's the important part right? So cruel, nothing like the thousand of chickens that had to suffer to adulthood only to be served in the school's cafeteria for the day. Before my time a rival town hung dozens of dead cats around the local highschool 'the tigers' before a game, now that's a fuckin prank. If you get your panties in a wad over 7 chickens that don't even need their skulls attached to live, go to consumptionjunction and watch the video of the rabbit getting stomped to death by the naked bitch in 6" stilletos
