"Floyd's 1-year-old dog, Roscoe, gnawed her right big toe completely off and part of the toe's knuckle, puncturing an artery while she was sleeping Monday afternoon... Floyd, a diabetic who suffers from neuropathy and has no feeling in her toes, is unable to walk because of ongoing leg problems. She is legally blind in her right eye and unable to see well without glasses."

ok, wtf is with dachshunds eating ppl? we have 3 mini dachshunds, and no one here has been eaten. i just don't get it. i also don't understand why they would have opted to euthanize this dog. yes, there is a newborn baby in the house, but really. the chances of the dog eating the rest of fat hag's other toes is remote. chances of dog eating anyone elses toes or other body parts is also remote. finding the toe is still a problem? try cutting open dead dog's stomach. if dog ate toe, it will be there.

put them out before bed? hell no! i already called my vet to arrange to have them all killed b/c i read on the intertubes that some fat swine got her toe eaten off in her sleep by her ferocious weiner dog. then when this leaks to the media here, i can post the story online and the ppl in the moon story won't feel so bad about being stupid. (**DISCLAIMER: weiner dogs are fine, and aren't going to be killed. this post was to illustrate that "toe-eating dogs" aren't rotten, but that dog's owner sure is).

The rule with dogs is to never let them alone with kids anyway - no matter what the breed, it's always important to supervise them until you know the kids are not going to mess with the dogs (and are big enough to protect themselves). That chick putting the dog to sleep was assinine. And a Hangnail? Probably a pressure ulcer or something, but not a hangnail. She's retarded. Then they bring the dog's pedigree into question... I guess if they can't sue the dog or the breeders for her losing her useless (she's not walking anyway) toe she better figure out some way of getting sympathy. "Oh it was vicious. Oh, it ate my whole toe, and who knows what would have come next. I had to put the poor thing down (tear, sob, sniffle). Someone should compensate me for his loss." A-Hole supreme, someone responsible would have been fine with that dog. Someone should put her in the deadpool.

wouldn't it be something if they found the toe really soon, did tests, and discovered that it was necrotic or gangrenous? and the dog ate the toe off, subsequently saving that fat hag, and was really a hero? his reward... the big sleep. if she thinks she feels shitty now, imagine how that would make her feel.

Well, as someone to take care of such people, as Ms Floyd.. I have little sympathy .. She has self inflected all these medical problems on herself. All of it is related to her OBESITY. Her OBESITY is cause she EATS WAY TOO much, plain and simple. Nothing else really. All the diabetes, neuropathy, poor wound healing, etc, etc.. ALL HER FAULT. What we treat in the hospital isn't medical problems really, It's usually related to obesity (or smoking) That poor little dog wasn't dangerous.. Her fat ass rolling on someone is.

Is it just me or do most/all of the Rotten stories about dogs chewing body parts off of living people (diabetic toes, baby penises, &c.) involve dachsunds? I never hear about beagles doing that.

And her ongoing leg problems are due to the fact that she doesn't use them. Poor dawg got put to sleep but it prolly is a blessing in disguise as the beast either would of crushed doggie to death, or doggie mighta got trapped in a fat fold and slowly suffocated or she would've eaten doggie.

Once when my brother was field dressing a deer, as a joke he threw the deer's ring-piece to his dog to see if it would eat it. Fucker gobbled it down like it was a delicacy, and we both failed to mention to his wife what the doggie had been munching on before he came home and licked her face. So to me, a rotting diabetic's toe doesn't' seem out of the realm of possibility on the doggy noshing scale...

As a life-long dog lover and former owner of several Dachshunds, I can categorically state that this is typical behavior. I can also state they are the worst dog anyone could have, period. They are hateful, vicious, calculating little turds, mad at the world because they're short. I didn't know what a good dog was until I discovered Italian Greyhounds.

At my old job we had on old fucker come in, he had diabetes. He fell asleep in his lazy boy and awoke because his dog was licking his toes. He looked down and a couple of his toes were missing. Ugh. It was kind of gross. He was a nice enough guy, but a bit on the unkempt side. That is my PC way of saying old fuck hadn't bathed in a while. But he didn't cry and whine like a litle bitch. OK, what in the fuck possesses someone to get a puppy for someone who is laid up with a broken leg, can hardly see, and can't fucking work? Oh and my friend had weiner dogs when we were growing up. They were mean little fuckers.

The correct name for this breed is Dachshund, meaning badger dog. They were bred to hunt them, their shape is ideal for crawling down dens. This is what you get when you give a hunting dog to a bed-ridden old fuck.
