Fucking lawsuits have gotten so out of hand , the nursing home was just afraid of getting sued because of a perv. I had a tenant sue me because they decided to paint the apartment , and their kid had an asthma attack. Last year , I had a neighbor sue me because they claimed that my carport caused them to not see the road , and made them get hit by a car speeding. I feel sorry for the old man... I feel fear from the "system" My Two Cents And P.S. They didn't didn't win , those that sued me

BTW-I've known people who have had these jobs,they were good people,but anyone going into this should have to pass a psych test.The pay is low,the hours are terrible,the job is shitty(literaly),there is no reason to do this unless your a sadist,or you really love old people.Oh yeah,when you do make freinds with a client they just die anyway.

Another worker didn't report it because she was afraid of losing her job, remember? And people here said how silly it was for her to be afraid of that, because it wouldn't happen? It happened to this one. Ms. Jorge is a good person for "doing the right thing" even though it "cost her a job she couldn't afford to lose." But here you go: regardless of the decision a person ends up making, it's a legitimate fear.

If the nursing home actually had to pay a fine of $3500 a day until "safeguards" were established, that's just crazy. Something doesn't sound right. It is impossible to put such "safeguards" in unless, well no one knows what exactly, but the state or federal agency can either make it impossible or just sign off on a written statement. If I had been the director I would have fired her ass myself. Sound cruel and callous? People, a director of a nursing home lives largely on Maalox. It is a shitty job, often literally. In spite of the fact that said director would just as soon kill, repeatedly, anyone who actually raped a client, there is a good reason to fire that whistleblower. It is because the allegation inspired the state or feds to impose impossible conditions upon the nursing home and to strip an already tight budget. That nursing home is under a new set of rules that other nursing homes don't have to obey, a new set of expenses, a new set of cash losses, and no fucking way in hell to handle it. On top of that, you have more than a small chance that the accusation that triggered this response was a false one. If the nursing home administration can't prove that it happened, it can't fire the employee who was accused because he can sue for false dismissal. Also, he didn't cause the trouble that screwed up the nursing home. The DPH was just plain insane. If any new rules applied, they applied at every nursing home, not just the one where an alleged incident occurred. They might also have hit the nursing home with fines if it did report the incident, so it was a no-win situation. People go on these binges about "something happening" and the next thing you know, a business is fucked, a life is fucked, or whatever, and nothing actually changes for the better. I don't think anyone intended to change things for the better most of the time when these things go on, either.
