Here's what I do to have really great tasting mashed potatoes: I add some turnips to the potatoes when I boil them. Add enough that it's about 2 parts potatoes and one part turnips. If you have a really tender white onion and some garlic throw that in to boil too. I've also done a 50:50 blend of cauliflower and potatoes, or a 2:1 blend of carrots and potatoes. Also, you can substitute about half the cooking water with chicken broth to make the vegetable flavors richer. I usually don't whip my potatoes but do a rough mash, so that the texture of the cauliflower or carrots is retained. Melt some chunks of butter on top of the final concoction after you put it on your plate. Also you can add some fresh parsley flakes to the potatoes or mixtures for some color and/or sprinkle some paprika to the top of the dish before you serve it. Dress the top of the dish with some sliced hard boiled eggs or chunk up some hard boiled eggs and fold them into the dish. Essentially the following foods mix well with hot potatoes: Onion, Garlic, Turnips, Cauliflower, Carrots, some Squashes, hard boiled Eggs, crumbled Bacon, Italian sausage (fried drained and crumbled), ground Parmesan cheese (stir the cheese in quickly at the very last or it will stick to your spoon like crazy... The following spices also work well: Salt, Pepper, flavored Salts (Like Mrs Dash, Onion Salt, Celery Salt, Garlic Salt, or Lemon Pepper), Paprika, Parsley flakes...

Is the ignition switch on a car pretty easy to fix anyone? Mine is fucked up. As soon as I let off it goes back just a tiny but too far and the car shuts off. I think its the ignition because I have to twist in just the right spot for the console lights to come on and then when I twist it just a little further they go off again. Then when when I start it I have to hold it in position for it to stay started.

OL, turns out my cat had a problem with the brand of litter I had. Problem solved. Although my other cat has some fucked up allergy that makes her mouth react to dental plaque...looks like strep throat in there. She's been on a liquid diet of soaked kibble and chicken broth for a week and a half, but she is putting on a bit of weight. The only remedy is total dental extraction. $2000 worth of extraction. That or I can club her with a frying pan a few times for free.

well, at least the litter thing worked. you could and should still get that spray. takes out any residual cat piss stank, and works really well. as for kitteh with the teeth, is it actually a reaction to plaque or is it a food problem? you could add cooked rice and cooked veggies (like the frozen mixed ones) mix those with chicken broth and leave out the kibble. see if that changes anything. i find that vets are really crooked bastards and will tell you some hideous shit that will cost a hideous amount, and play on the heart-strings of the owner. i think that's mean and unnecessary. sure, your cat could live with no teeth, but how fun would it be? you'd still end up feeding her stuff like cooked rice, mixed veggies and broth in the end. try it now while she's got teeth. it might work. no need to whip out the frying pan just yet.

You can buy perfectly fine cars with foreign nameplates that are made in the US any time you want. Toyota, for example, has been making cars in California with GM for well over a decade now. The Pontiac Vibe is a Toyota Matrix with a nicer price tag. Sam deal with Ford and Mazda and several others. So people don't buy crap like the Cobalt. Big deal. It's crap and they can't give them away. If you want a car that will last you a quarter million miles or more without a major repair, quit fucking around and buy a Honda or a Toyota. I have something to be way thankful for this year. Ik jr got appendicitis and needed an appendectomy and I staid in the hospital with him. It's torture watching your 8 year old son walk around like a 90 year old man, I wish I could have had the appendectomy instead. But that's all done. He'll be fine in a week or two.
