I'm really glad these folks are finally getting a little attention. All veterans deserve a damn sight more appreciation and help than the government gives.

from what I have seen, these individuals, who honestly fought hard, we should let the crazy ass vets unleash on this insurgency. They have an invaluable knowledge of terrain, logistics, and tactii, why not utilize this? it offers employment for veteran`s in the prime of war fighting potential. This can also lead us into the re-enlistment we so badly need in the states. trust me, you are not worried about your migraine when you have to sweep an area of an insurgency. The individuals I am speaking of should not have a shortened career that was handed to them. These valiant individuals could provide our armed forces with a temperment and also a ferocity that is a necessity tgat is firmly needed, and lacking.

The "expediency of expendability" is a governmental policy which weighs any individual's disabilities to their performance as productive members of society as honorably discharged veterans. Because veterans go out to participate in wars for people who would never extend the same courtesy to them, it's only fitting that the substandard intellect of veterans should be manipulated by the substandard ethics of those monsters that veterans and active service members are subordinate to. In other words, every soldier is a dupe to die or get crippled for their masters, who never give a shit for the sacrifices performed. Don't be a dupe. America doesn't get invaded. Men who die in America's wars do so for the sake of imperialism. This country is only worth fighting for to a man if that man can get a little piece of the crumb which composes the American Pie. Without incentive after he survives battle, he may as well choke out his guts as he lies bleeding in the dust of the battlefield. A nation which despises their war veterans deserves failure. A nation which glorifies celebrity over hard workers deserves to be ridiculed. And people who give their lives or their health for the life and health of a country which will not help them deserve a better country.

I would want an oil company's CEO bonus, then I could hire some kid to go for me. The logic collapses. Plural of tactic is tactics. Not tictacs; not tactii.

It was rabidly reported that more than a few of the wives of GWVs complained that their spouse's baby batter burned like the facehugger's blood in Alien. this ancient 1997 article laughs off such sci-fi notions, but I wonder if this symptom was validated along with all the other GWS ailments. http://www.reason.com/news/show/30187.html

From: inhalien [Chevy Chase] Date: 17-Nov-2008 19:36 Yeah, sort of like maybe the DU rounds could possibly be an issue? Put eighty rounds in a sealed up tank with five guys shake it and presto they'll die before they become a burden on the Veterans hospital system....

Big f***ing surprise. Our gov't. is still denying the aftereffects of Agent Orange on the Vietnam Vets and gives vets suffering from PTSD such a run-around that they end up dying or committing suicide without ever receiving help- problem solved. Pathetic...................

A goddamn shame. My money is on the pyridostigmine bromide as the culprit rather than DU rounds or smoke from burning wellheads.

There was some talk of this being the result of a biological agent, rather than chemical. I seem to remember something about Mycobacterium.

Plus, half life of pyridostigmine is very short, about 1-2 hours. And atropine+pyridostigmine is a common antidote for nerve gas.

i wonder how they can find such certain results in such a short period of time. i mean, they haven't been paying attention since 1991. it's only recently that any real study happened. in a matter of what? 4 years? they figured it out? and they can't tell if plastics are making our little girls develop like women, our children to get fat, which fat is good, and which fat is bad, what causes sids, on and on? issues with dozens of studies spanning decades can't be solved, but an illness (with a mother- fucking multitude of symptoms) involving 175,000 men and women.. solved in 4 years? mighty convenient. put an end to it, you know? just pay it, and write it off. no legalities left. " yeah sure.. uh, this and this caused it.. so here's your money, we're sorry. just sign at the dotted line. "

Its really hard to thing of all the vets out there, American, Canadian, British, all of them, that are suffering from this for years on end, and told its all in their heads. There's nothing wrong with you. Most had vaccines and pills forced on them or they risked getting thrown out or court martialed. They had no idea what was in them. The forces were told it was to protect them from disease and nerve gas, whatever worked. It makes me sick to my stomach that these warriors that risked their lives are confined to wheel chairs, barfing their guts out because we use Depleted Uranium rounds by the thousands and they're strewn all over the place. And then they come home, get sick as dogs, and get minimal benefits. Can't work, can't function, doctors don't know whats wrong. Meanwhile, these vets from the Middle East are suffering from radiation poisoning, nerve gas, shell shock, you name it. Where's the help for these men and women? (steps down from large box)
