Grandma reloaded after each shot
CNN | Submitted by: Eye for an Eye
"Using a key she knew was hidden outside, Gertrude Simpkins entered her granddaughter's house in this tiny farming community and waited, authorities say. When Amanda Corbin, Simpkins' 26-year-old granddaughter, returned from work that afternoon, authorities say the 68-year-old shot her multiple times with a rifle Simpkins reloaded after each shot."

That's my grandma!!!! Actually, my mom put a gun in a vietnamese boy's face(cause he was fucking my sister) and told him, "you may not understand English, but this is a language everybody understands!" Needless to say he crapped his pants and fled...

Jeez... what the hell?

And why does this seem so much weirder than, say, Kip Kinkel shooting his parents?

Don't we have a Rottener whose husband had a brain tumor? I seem to remember somebody telling us about the time before they got the diagnosis, when she thought he was going crazy but it turned out to be a tumor. Maybe I'm making it up. Who was that?

You are correct, and I cannot recall who that was. You're not making it up.

I think it was Mcdanel....but I'm not sure.

As for this gun-toting granny, it may be time for chemical restraints and a nice, long stay in a sanitarium.

The family obviously wasn't too upset. We want old 'grama gurty back'. My gawd if that old bat shot one of my kids I'd be finding a way to get to her if I had to break her out myself. How can they seem so indifferent? Sure isnt my brand of justice if someone fucks with me or my family.

The article mentioned that she became depressed and despondent after losing her husband a few years prior so maybe it was a case of envy. Her granddaughter and her husbands contentedness might've been something granny secretly despised to the point of murder after it boiled up and her brain chemistry whittled away. The silent, friendly ones are the ones you need to fear. Not the ones who are more than happy to give you their naked opinions.

Why was granny shooting a single shot. She could easily have accomplished that feat with an Ak-47 and a thirty round clip in one tenth of the time. Shit multiple clips would have been something. 90 or a 120 rounds could make a good stain on the carpet and she would've only had to reload 3 or 4 times. Maybe some day...

Oh yeah. Some dumbass had to leave that gun unsecured with ammunition for her to use it. Remember always lock your damn guns up and don't tell no one how to get em'. Many accidental or otherwise avoidable consequences result from improperly stored weapons (usally loaded).

How sad for that family. During high school, I worked in a nursing home, and there was a resident who was suffering from violent dementia. She was old, but she was at least six feet tall and not frail. The meds they gave her made her walk funny, kind of leaning to one side. Sometimes she got scary; once she cornered me, and I thought she was going to get violent. The nurses said she was perfectly normal before the dementia hit (small town, they'd known her when she was younger.)

I hope I die before I start suffering from dementia.
