This Texas shithole targets minorities passing through the town, finding false pretext to seize any valuables: "Jennifer Boatright and Ron Henderson said they agreed to forfeit their property after Russell threatened to have their children taken away. Like Daniels, the couple says they were carrying a large amount of cash -- about $6,000 -- to buy a car. When they were stopped in Tenaha in 2007, Boatright said, Russell came to the Tenaha police station to berate her and threaten to separate the family."

Texas law states that the proceeds of any seizures can be used only for "official purposes" of district attorney offices and "for law-enforcement purposes" by police departments. According to public records obtained by CNN using open-records laws, an account funded by property forfeitures in Russell's office included $524 for a popcorn machine, $195 for candy for a poultry festival, and $400 for catering. ****  "Sounds good to me, nothing here to see people move along, or else I'll rob you blind, I mean I'll seize your ill-gotten property."

His bill has passed the Senate, where he is the longest-serving member, and is currently before the House of Representatives. The federal government needs to replace the governor, prosecute the guilty, and scrap the forfeiture law. Or give the place back to Mexico, if they want to act like Mexicans. After all these years! ^^^^^^^ grats androloma its a good story it infuriates me and that is kinda good takes my mind off other stuff I lived in Texas in about 3 or 4 places when my kids were still kiddies Amarillo, Hereferd, Pleasant Valley, Brownstown or ville something like that. It was a dry county and had to go about 10 miles or so to the next county if ya wanted a beer. Don't know if its still like that now tho.

Pulled off Saw Mill Parkway to pee in an emergency and made an illegal UTurn to get to the potty. Pkwy cop kicked my door open and demanded my license. I jumped and peed on the floor turning around. I got 2 points. Friends ran that gas satation where he hid. For the next year there were lots of scrapmetal bits and nails in those alleys behind the bushes. I got to see several County cars with flat tires on being carried north that year. The County cops were the nicer bunch operating bunch over there. We all moved out of there.

I live in Florida and have been pulled over several times over the years. If I may ... 1. Obey the speed limit and watch all signs, especially in a strange town. 2. If possible, pull over to a populated, well-lit area. Tell any passengers to shut up. 3. Confess nothing. Ask, "Is there a problem officer?" Watch your tone of voice. Not all white people are blue eyed devils because we invented civilization. We also invented religion and weapons of mass destruction and spread small pox from Europe and syphillis from North America and AIDS from Africa to everybody else around the world so we are the instrument of God's will. If we take back what we gave the mud people then why is that wrong? They didn't invent paper money or credit cards or our huge Federal Reserve banking system and so they shouldn't be able to get loans from the CRA or the government. They should only be able to spend money that they saved and not borrowed, if they have a job at all.

This may be a new story, but it is very old news. I know, because I sent in the same story about 6 months ago. When I saw it featured on CNN today, I just thought that it was a slow news day, as they dredged up old news to rehash. Imagine my surprise, when they passed it off as "new" news, lol. Still, the basic premise really is rotten. Imagine if it happened to you. Oh, & congrats to ANDROLOMA, for getting Duder to finally put something up for you.
