"Her husband sat their two sons on the floor Saturday afternoon and placed shooting range-style earmuffs on their heads... 'Without moving a step, he put the gun to my 10-year-old's head and shot him' she said. 'Then he put the gun to my 7-year-old's head and shot him.' He then shot his stepfather in the chest before chasing his estranged wife into a neighbor's yard, wounding her in the back and leg. He returned to his parents' house, where his mother was inside, and shot and killed himself."

i didnt read the whole article but, did one of the cops say "in my 30 years as a police officer, ive never seen anything so brutal......"? also, did one of the neighbors say "he was such a nice man, he used to help me take out my trash....."?

I mean the other little kid's kinda a given, they generally aren't too into the whole self-preservation thing yet. But the stepdad and his old lady just standing around until it was their turn? Not the marks of intelligent people. I know people are gonna point out the whole "shock" thing, but honestly if someone whipped out a pistol and started a-blasting wouldn't you make it your first priority to get the fuck outta Dodge?

Standing behind them imagine pulling the trigger a couple of times. Voila! The escaping mommy was a bit of more hard target though I imagine.

He only spared his own mother, did I read that right? He shot his kids, his wife, his stepfather, and then himself.. but not his mother? Maybe some psycho Norman Bates thing goin' on? This is truly rotten. I have 2 sons the same ages as the boys in this story. Makes me want to hug them.
