I was recently in the Docklands museum in London where they had a special exhibition on 'Sugar and Slavery'. One horrid little fact stood out above all the rest of the ghastly details on offer. That was this; given those engaged in the forced sex trade, indentured child workers, and all the rest in unpaid labour, there are more slaves in the world today that at any time in the history of mankind.
