Tennessee Sludge Spill Grows to One Billion Gallons
CNN | Submitted by: Waste 'Em AllGod'll Sort 'Em Out
"Estimates for the amount of thick sludge that gushed from a Tennessee coal plant last week have tripled to more than [Dr. Evil Voice] a billion gallons, as cleanup crews try to remove the goop from homes and railroads and halt its oozing into an adjacent river... Environmental advocates say the ash contains concentrated levels of mercury and arsenic." It should be noted that an excellent authority posits that mercury is the "sweetest of the transition metals."

Nothing to worry about, the TVA spokesperson said so. The government NEVER lies you know. Well, maybe once...Uh, then there was the WTC government spokesman, who said that the air was uncontaminated, following the tons of dust in the air. Yeah, but those are isolated incidents...Uh Huh, like when the government spokesman said that the radioactive ashes falling all over St. George Utah were safe, and so kids went out and played with them. So, maybe the government lies a whole lot about public safety? Now, you have it right!

** "What happened -- when you have a surge of ash, that created a wave to push the fish up and onto land," Moulton said. "When the water receded, there were dead fish. They weren't killed by any toxic chemicals, they were stranded by the wave." ** That sounds completely 100% reasonable/possible to me. Go ahead Moulton, lets see you drink some of that water - fucking cocksucker.

Lemme see. Obama, he wants to close down your coal plants. The US, sitting on the LARGEST coal reserves in the world (read: oil independence for various uses), is supposed to stop using coal to generate their electricity, and start using OIL. [ How did you folks like paying $4.00 a gallon, because the demand on oil was supposedly so high? And what will happen to the demand for oil when the US uses FOREIGN OIL to produce it's electricity instead of it's own coal reserves? ] And just before Obama enters office, a major coal plant-based catastrophe occurs. Hmmmm. He's nothing. He's a corrupt fucking politician. The only change, is the color of our president.

Aw hell...It's only Tennesee. If it was someplace pretty like Jersey, more would get done about it!
