I call bullshit. The article claims that MS has sold 2 million Zunes. No fucking way. I want the email addresses of those suckers.

My zune which died yesterday in Z2K came back to life.

WTF? Doesn't anybody at microsoft own a fucking calendar?

Microsoft must be more concerned with what you listen to then making the damn thing work.

This is actually more disruptive than the real y2k thing ever was.

From: kingnot [Ben]

I almost got one...

But by the fact it was a "Microsoft" product I stopped off.

Forget even the "Stolen MP3" stuff issue. Could I even upload my own content without the thing 'turning me in'?

And, taadaaa, like any Microsoft product, it crashes... This should be illegal. No, seriously, it should be illegal for anything made by a company this big to be so bug ridden this is even possible.

Buy a cheap mp3 player that takes a memory card.

You don't have to buy those things. I still like having a good life. They are only tools, not my life.

Good thing cars and aircraft don't depend on Microshaft for software or they'd all crash, for real. M$ needs to take a huge fall. I hope Bills house crashes.

I pity all the poor poor kids who begged their parents for an ipod, only to unwrap a shitty Zune this Christmas.

Bet they even thought to themselves "Oh well, as long as it'll play music."

Pity the poor looser that owns a buggy-assed Zune.

That's not bad enough but he has a butt-ugly brown model.

What's more, that wasn't the original color.

I've gone past the stage of blaming Microsoft for being crap. I mean, would you bust your ass trying to be good if you were already earning billions of dollars from being crap? Why bother? What would your shareholders say?
I'm beginning to blame the idiot customers. People who believe what they read in advertisements. People without cynicism.

Well I am so glad to see the Zune is continuing Microsoft's proud tradition of producing reliable products of utmost durability, just like the xBox 360, Windows Vista, and Clippy the bogus talking paperclip from MS Word you can't switch off. Oh, never mind. . .

Leave it to Microsoft to let a calendar glitch pwn the fuck out of their music player. What in the hell does a clock really have to do with the playback of MP3's? I mean the actual time has no real bearing on the track time of a song so Z2K is more proof of how fucked M$ really is.

I had my Creative Zen (audio/video) die on me. Got the whitescreen of death. Amazingly this happened right after the 90 day warranty was up. Tried updating the firmware that didnt do shite. So I chucked this 100$ piece of plastic onto the road and squished it with my auto.

What pisses me off the most, is that this is one of the better media players that Ive used.. very customizable and compact. Dammit!

Like an Ipod is much better ?

In a seemed-like-a-good-idea-at-the-time moment I bought an Ipod a few years ago. Today it sits gathering dust at the bottom of a drawer. The supermarket player I bought recently for one sixth of the price is smaller, lighter, works better (once I replaced the crappy headphones) and doesnt force me to use proprietary software that then tries to own your computer and all the music files on it.

Buying apple products because "microsoft are a big evil corporation" makes about as much sense as drinking Pepsi instead of Coke for the same reason -Oh hang on -I do that all the time :-)

Vomit, I agree with you that buying an ipod just means you get fucked in a different way.

But I'd rather own something that was dependable, and didn't "brick" ITSELF over something even the nation of Burundi fixed pre-y2k for fuckssake....

Don't forget the infamous Windows Millenium Edition, or as I often called it, the Alzheimers Edition. I had that on my old computer, and it frequently would just stop, as if it simply forgot what to do next. And whoever at Microsoft came up with the idea for that talking paperclip ought to get fist fucked elbow deep.

I for one have a Zune 30 and had that problem a few months ago, but that was because of a bug in the zune 3.0 software, once I downloaded the update last month, the problem was resolved. For those who turn their noses up on zune in favor for ipod, I used to rememberd a time when people would turn their ipods in for a replacement and would get an older, refurbished model without their songs that they bought ala carte, thus really getting screwed over. At least the screen on my zune is larger and an fm tuner is already built in. The only reason ipod is the largest company is because they've been in the business longer than anyone else, zune is only around for 2 and a half years, but it is slowly, but surely getting bigger. At least I know that 58% of the money Bill Gates makes goes to charity (to fight global poverty and diseases), how much money do those greedy fuckwads at Apple donate? They probably spend it snorting cocaine off a hooker's ass.

58%, huh? I will tell you and the rest of the Rotteneers my theory behind Billy Gates III's real motivation behind all the philanthropy and 3rd World health crusades:

He wants to ensure the Microsoft of the future after he is dead and gone will always have a ready supply of brown skinned curry-munching outsource employees so his obscene corporate megalith of a company founded on clean room reverse engineering of pre-existing OS's, and cowing the PC makers/programmers to roll with him-OR ELSE will have enough resources to continue indefinitely.
