When the article said:"three siblings", I thought at first that they were Mayo's siblings. Now that I see that they are not...wait...whose siblings are they anyway? Hopefully someday people will have a similarly spirited attitude against those who enslave children to make running shoes. Oh, and the customers too, who would, of course, be those who buy the Nikes. People of all ages have sex for fun (if you include masturbation), but few would view sewing 1200 jogging suits a month, month after month, often in sweltering conditions, as anything short of a descent to hell. Plenty of people are in a three-point stance waiting to fuck up the internet so we can protect the children, yet they'll head to the discount store or mall as an actual form of recreation and buy child slave labor-made junk at criminal markups. I guess if there's not a penis or vagina involved, that greatly mitigates things.

As for the tennis shoe rant above, it is easy to be self righteous and deny people the opportunity to earn income when you have plenty of food on your table. But in many of these situations, the jobs offer the opportunity to earn income in a world where there are no other options. Yes, it is a bitch to work for what we consider to be low pay, but everything is relative. The wages are decent in the localities where they are paid, and people are fighting to get the jobs. The alternative is to boycott the products as you suggest, and then the people have no income, and really be out of luck. And Economics 101 will explain why you can't just raise prices in order to pay higher wages. Business economics can be cruel, but economic starvation is worse.

At the times the alleged assaults took place in 2005, the defendant's children were a 5-year-old girl, 6-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl. The sibling's aunt and defendant's sister, who was also 6-years- old, also testified she was forced to dance and have sex with the other children. Late Wednesday afternoon, three young children and one teenager, took the stand and answered questions about Mayo's involvement in the case. The various stories don't give any more info on the teenager, but he/she doesn't appear to have had to perform, but maybe knew about the goings on at the "Mineola Swinger's Club." Texas Ranger Phillip Kemp, the lead investigator in the case, testified that he believes at least 15 more kids 'performed' at the club which ironically had been a day car before becoming a sex club.
