Perhaps my favorite is the time when John Rocker of the Alanta Braves said in a Sports illustrated interview in 99, that he hates playing the mets cause hes on the subway with the blue haired kid, the aids filled gays, and other such people i cant remember. New yorkers were really offened though most like myself realized hes tellilng the truth. The trade off is that the south gets aid from the Federal government, way more than it pays out in taxes. That wealth comes from New York State. Without the hated liberal elitists generating all that money with their fancy book learnin', the south would fall apart.... schools, roads, police, fire, ambulance, housing, not to mention military spending, all are federally subsidized. I have visited Alabama a few times and found that folks are really friendly and helpfull.Huntsville was a nice city and I really loved the historic tour of Montgomery.Mobile was kinda a weird time though.On the most part I found that the fikkin dirt down there will stain the shit out of your clothing,the stuff will not wash out.They have a super nice coast line also
