Not at all, 'goyle. You will find that Herr Bush has very little direct influence anymore. What Canada and the UK are rapidly learning is just how far they can go with little or no revolt from the populace. That is the lesson most recently espoused by Orwell, and it is a very old lesson.

In a CBC interview, the father of one of the victims said the gangsters should all simply be expelled form the town. He then went on to say that his son was a gangster. Why not deputize and heavily arm all citizens who aren't gang members in that town? I'm willing to bet that the shootings would spike for about a day or two, then stop completely.

you people have no idea what punks like these do. In the town i used to live in 14 and 15 year old had guns ,run in gangs rob and actually murdered several people. If honest people are afraid to go out of their house because they might get shot isn't that terrorism?

We live in a world in which there is a vast asymmetry in power between government and the random individual subject to that government. I really dread anti-terrorism laws because of the tendency of control freaks in government to make names for themselves by going after patsies or easy targets they can brand as terrorists. On the other hand, it would make me happy if government paid torturers and practitioners of police brutality were prosecuted as terrorists.
