Once downloaded, burn the ISO image to an 80 minute CD.

Boot from the CD and you will be able to try out Ubuntu to get the feel of the new system, and to see if it's compatible with your PC. (Worked with both my PCs no problems.)

If you decide to install, it'll even let you keep Windows and create a dual boot system.
